Announcements

Important Notice: We have temporarily suspended the Brookes Hire Service until further notice.

If you have existing equipment on hire, you will not need to return the device until further notice from IT Services and we will extend your booking until we reopen the service. Late fines and/or charges will not apply during this period.

We will send out a further communication to you when we require the devices to be returned, with a reasonable notice period to do so.

If, for any reason you need to return the device when the service is closed and are unable to keep the equipment until we reopen, please let us know by creating an incident at via "Get Assistance" option from the IT Service Desk, quoting "Brookes Hire Return" in the title.

 

Terms and Conditions

Please note:

  • If you are unable to keep a booking, please cancel it as soon as possible so the equipment is available for others to hire.
  • Missed collections - Bookings cannot be collected at a later date than originally booked. If you miss the collection appointment, the equipment will need to be rebooked.
  • One major item can be hired at any one time via this booking system.  For example, major items include: DSLR Cameras, Video Cameras and Projectors.
  • You will receive a confirmation email upon completion of a booking - If you do not receive a confirmation email, then your booking may not have been completed; please check the 'Find booking' tab.
  • Most equipment can be hired for a maximum of seven calendar days - A fair usage policy applies. You cannot book the same equipment within seven days of a previous booking you have made. 
  • Identification is required when collecting equipment. Students require a valid student card and staff will need a ‘new style’ photo staff card.
  • Borrowers will be fined for the late return of equipment and charged for the replacement or repair of any lost or damaged equipment. Until all outstanding fines and fees are paid in full the borrower will be suspended from making further bookings with Brookes Hire.
  • Full terms and conditions will be provided for you to agree to prior to booking confirmation.
